Miss Continental UK Terms & Conditions
Contestant certifies and/or agrees to the following:
1. I attest that I am a naturally born female.
2. I am of good moral character; that I have not been convicted of any major crime.
3. I have not heretofore made any legal obligations that would prevent or limit my participation as Titlist.
4. I am not the current titleholder at any beauty pageant, and I won't become one during my participation in Miss Continental UK.
5. I agree that I am satisfied with the way the pageant and judging was conducted and that all information provided on my entry form is true and correct.
6. I agree to cooperate with the duty-appointed director of the pageant.
7. I understand that I must be present at the rehearsal (to be announced) to participate in the pageant and no exceptions will be made. Tardiness for any phase of the pageant will not be tolerated, and points may be deducted.
8. I agree to participate in all activities required by said event.
9. If I am chosen as Queen, I understand that I am expected to represent the contest for a year. I will also make arrangements to attend events and other advance arrangements due to extenuating circumstances have been approved by the pageant director.
10. If selected as queen, I agree not to enter or participate, as a contestant, in any pageant or contest during the term of this agreement.
11. While wearing my crown and/or sash, I will always conduct myself in a manner that is fitting of the representative of Miss Continental UK. The queen shall not wear the crown and/or sash and/or represent the pageant/festival at any other events/activities unless she obtains permission from the pageant director prior to doing so.
12. I agree not to be photographed as the reigning Titlist, with or without the crown and banner/sash, for any publication, including calendars, without written consent from the pageant director.
13. I certify that I have not participated in any activities that would be embarrassing to me and/or the Association prior to this agreement.
14. I will not make statements containing inappropriate or profane language. In addition, I agree not to post pictures or videos of myself dressed inappropriately or making inappropriate gestures.
15. I give permission to Miss Continental UK and any of its representatives to use my photograph for publicity, news articles, or other pageant purposes in print media, social media (Facebook, Twitter, and the like), and website purposes.
16. I agree to hold harmless Miss Continental UK and any of its representatives in case of an accident. My parent(s) or guardian(s) will provide any and all medical expenses incurred by myself as Titlist (If under 18) or myself if 18 and over.
17. With my signature, I certify I have read this agreement and understand it. I further understand that in the event I do not fulfill any of the above agreements, unless extenuating circumstances prevail, the pageant committee shall have the right to terminate this agreement and select a successor at its discretion. In the event this would occur, final prizes would not be awarded.
Official Language: English is the official language of the Miss Continental UK beauty pageant. It is a requirement for delegates to speak English.
Delegate will not slander or libel other contestants, judges, or anyone else involved with Miss Continental UK®. Defamatory remarks against Miss Continental UK will result in immediate disqualification.
Good sportsmanship is always expected. Disruptive behaviour before, during, or after the pageant may result in disqualification.
Limitation of Liability / Responsibility:
- All delegates/contestants under 18 years must be accompanied at all events by a parent or legal guardian.
- If selected as a winner, delegate agrees to make a minimum of 15 appearances throughout her year’s reign as approved by the director.
- Winners are expected to provide photos of appearances for the Miss Continental UK website and promotion.
- Winners are not allowed to promote, organize, enter, or compete in any other regional, national, or international pageant or beauty contest during their reign.
- A commission will be deducted from the gross fee for any paid assignment as a delegate.
- Entrants agree to hold the pageant director responsible for all matters relating to their application, rules, regulations, and more.
- Miss Continental UK pageant is not responsible for accidents, injury, or theft incurred at the time of the pageant or travel to and from.
- Miss Continental UK pageant is not responsible for negligence or fraud on the part of sponsors, judges, or vendors.
- Miss Continental UK pageant is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage caused to all prizes, gifts, and awards after these items become the property of the entrant.
- The date/venue of the pageant is subject to change, and entrants are not eligible for a refund in such cases.
- Prizes given by sponsors to winners are not the responsibility of Miss Continental UK pageant.
Deadlines: All deadlines for photographs, and contestant information must be adhered to by entrant and winners.
Entry Fee & Payments: All fees paid are NOT REFUNDABLE and NOT TRANSFERABLE under any circumstances.
Photography & Videography: Adults accompanying Delegates under 18 years authorize Photography & Videography for the pageant.
Disqualification / Title Relinquishment: If delegate is disqualified or relinquishes any title awarded to her, all prizes must be returned in full.
Travel: Delegates make their own travel arrangements.
Publicity and Promotion: Delegate agrees to allow the use of her name, likeness, voice, and/or biographical information for purposes of publicity and promotion.
Agreement: Entrants agree to abide by all rules and regulations set forth by Miss Continental UK.
I agree to the above terms and conditions and agree to abide by all policies, rules, and regulations set forth. I confirm that all information submitted is true and accurate. Falsification of information may result in immediate disqualification.
In case of a finalist not attending the Grand Final, a penalty fee will be applied.
